CoolSculpting

Removing fat around the abdomen, chin, arms and legs has never been easier. With Frontier Dermatology's CoolSculpting service, we can “freeze the fat” in an hour or less with no downtime. With more than six million CoolSculpting treatments performed worldwide, it is the world’s #1 non-invasive fat reduction procedure. CoolSculpting is a non-surgical fat reduction procedure that works using cryolipolysis. During CoolSculpting, fat cells are frozen, which damages them to the point that the body naturally flushes them away. However, other cells (such as skin cells) are not damaged through this process.

During your CoolSculpting session, the device will be placed over the treatment area, and applicators will administer suction and cooling technology. You may feel some pinching, pulling, or cooling sensations during the procedure, but CoolSculpting should not be painful. Once complete, your provider may then massage the area to prevent tissue from freezing together and encourage the body to metabolize the destroyed fat cells. Typically, a single CoolSculpting session lasts between one and three hours.

Many patients can achieve their goal results in a single CoolSculpting session, but it can require follow-up treatments to reduce a sufficient amount of fat to reach your ideal body contour. During your consultation, your technician will explain a treatment plan that will work for you.

Who is a Candidate for Coolsculpting?

CoolSculpting is not a weight-loss procedure. Rather, it is a suitable option for those who are at or near a healthy weight and follow a healthy diet and exercise routine, but have stubborn areas of fat and wish to achieve a slimmer or more toned body contour. Some patients with certain medical conditions should not have CoolSculpting. During a consultation, your CoolSculpting provider will review your health history and goals to determine whether CoolSculpting is recommended for you.

What Areas Can I Treat with CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting can be used to reduce fat from many areas of the body. The most common include the:

  • Abdomen
  • Thighs
  • Flanks/love handles
  • Upper arms
  • Chin or neck area (double chin)
  • Back/bra roll
  • Buttocks
  • Hips

Is CoolSculpting safe?

What does the CoolSculpting procedure feel like?

When will I see results from CoolSculpting?

Results from CoolSculpting typically become noticeable within a few weeks to months following treatment as the body naturally eliminates the targeted fat cells. Some patients may see improvement as early as three weeks, with optimal results appearing after about two to three months.

Are the results of CoolSculpting permanent?

Yes, the results of CoolSculpting are permanent, as the treated fat cells are eliminated from the body. However, maintaining a healthy lifestyle with regular exercise and a balanced diet is essential to prevent the remaining fat cells from enlarging and to preserve the results over time.
