Dr. Sarah Stano, DO, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologist at Frontier Dermatology with expertise in medical dermatology and comprehensive skin care for patients of all ages. She diagnoses and treats a wide range of skin, hair, and nail concerns, with particular interests in skin cancer screening and treatment, acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, hair loss, lichen sclerosus, and other inflammatory skin conditions.
Dr. Stano is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered dermatologic care. She takes a thorough and thoughtful approach to each visit, listening carefully to her patients’ concerns and partnering with them to develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans. Her goal is to ensure patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options and feel informed, supported, and confident in their care.
Originally from Boise, Idaho, Dr. Stano spent 14 years in New York City before returning to the Pacific Northwest, where she is proud to call Washington home. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Barnard College at Columbia University before receiving her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her preliminary medicine internship at Flushing Hospital Medical Center, where she was recognized as Preliminary Intern of the Year, followed by her dermatology residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, where she served as Chief Resident.
In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Stano has contributed to the field of dermatology through research presented at national dermatology meetings and has authored multiple textbook chapters and peer-reviewed publications.
