Dr. Guadalupe Mercado is a dermatology resident at Frontier Dermatology who is passionate about providing comprehensive, patient-centered dermatologic care for patients of all ages. Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, she was a first-generation college and medical student who developed a deep commitment to advocacy, mentorship, and improving access to high-quality skin care for diverse communities. Dr. Mercado earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she graduated first in her class and was recognized for academic excellence, leadership, and research achievements.
Her clinical interests include medical dermatology, skin cancer prevention and early detection, skin of color dermatology, acne, eczema, psoriasis, and patient education. Throughout her training, Dr. Mercado has contributed to peer-reviewed research and community outreach initiatives focused on expanding access to dermatologic care. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Mercado believes in building lasting relationships with her patients by listening to their concerns, providing individualized treatment plans, and empowering them through education. She is dedicated to helping every patient achieve healthier skin while feeling comfortable, informed, and confident throughout their care journey.
